the margarita king

(ADULT CONTENT BELOW)

Seems like it's been a while since I've posted something from my past.  Also, I haven't had much time for new stuff lately so this works out pretty well.

Don't have too much to say about this one.  I'm thinking the jumbo lime margarita I had after work today probably has something to do with that.  This has been my new tradition of late.  All work weeks with 7 or more days end with a jumbo lime margarita.  Today's margarita was enjoyed with a generous helping of tacos de carne asada.  I was very very happy when dinner was done.  Right now, I'm pretty blown so I'll sign off and hopefully get my ass to bed early if I can manage it.  Thanks for stopping by.

13 days a week (FSR #7)

No, I'm not dead but my soul bleeds at the thought of the 13 day work week ahead of me.  With any luck I'll take a header into one of the machines at work and get to stay home on sweet sweet disability.  No, I don't have any cheese to go with this whine.

On the art supplies front, I gots me some new paint brushes and some SA-WEEEET Japanese markers with super-fine tips and one of them also has a brush tip which is very very cool.  I am so hooked!

While I am running a bit low on inspiration, I have at least knocked out what you see above.  I've also inked the newest work in my Octoberween-Palooza-Ganza efforts.  Colorization to follow in the not too distant future.

takin' what they givin' cuz i'm workin' for a livin'

Well, ye olde workplace has finally made good on their threat of Sundays.  I'm working 7 days this week.  Huzzah.

To convey my general feeling of discontent I decided to scan myself.  Instead of laying down on the scanner I decided it would be a better idea to prop the scanner on its side and lean in close.  At first this was a mostly black, shapeless mass but a quick auto-adjust of the colors revealed what you see now.  Pretty neat effect.  Sorta like seeing through the eyes of a primitive 1980's robot.  Hopefully the kind with vibrating parts.  Mmm... parts.

skull brain branch

Tried to get back to basics with this one.  Some good ol' fashioned black on white Sharpie action.  Oh yeah, baby!

As for content, I can't for the life of me figure out what might have been on my mind.  It's just a soft fuzzy brain.  A brain that looks like it might part in the middle if something were pushed into it and...  and is most likely moist inside.  'Cause it's a brain, and brains are squishy and warm and moist inside, right?  Also, I drew this resting on a piece of wood.  Or maybe it's a branch.  A big round, long branch that's very near the soft, fuzzy, warm, moist brain.  So I guess this is just a strange still life of sorts.  Just a skull, brain, branch sort of thing.  Yeah, that's it.
